Not quite ready to run the race, but still want to get involved? Volunteers are an invaluable part of the Bromo Marathon team. A fun and rewarding way to give back to the community, we provide a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for you to choose from.
Aid Station Volunteers attend one of the Bromo Marathon’s six aid stations along the course, providing runners with water, isotonic drinks, and of course cheers of encouragement.
Runners will be given the opportunity to check their warm-up clothing and belongings prior to the race. Bag Check Volunteers are responsible for tagging and organizing these effects for efficient return.
Course Monitors will be assigned a designated area to monitor along the course. Course monitors keep runners on course, guiding their direction and maintaining course integrity.
Volunteers assist with course clean-up, removing and hauling debris off the course and expo premises following the event.
EVENT SET UP
Assist with setting up the race site on Friday and Saturday prior to the event. Duties may include loading/unloading supplies, organizing tables and chairs, marking the course, etc.
Finish Line Volunteers are responsible for directing runners through the finishing chute, as well as handing out medals and water to finishers.
Food/Fluid volunteers set-up and help distribute various food and beverage products available to runners before and after the race.
Information Volunteers are responsible for answering participant questions about the event and helping everyone navigate the area.
Shuttle attendants guide runners and volunteers to/from the various shuttle sites.
