Starting from the scenic Plataran Bromo, this course is a blend of challenge and beauty, showcasing the best of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park.
Early Miles - A Downhill Start: The marathon kicks off with a descent, mostly downhill for the first 12 km, dropping from an elevation of 1856 meters to 1398 meters. This part of the route offers a gentle start, but be prepared for a small hill around the 11 km mark, a hint of the challenges ahead.
Middle Section - Uphill Test: Post 12.5 km, brace for a significant uphill stretch, spanning about 17.5 km. You'll be climbing to the race's highest point at 2469 meters, around the 30 km mark. This section is designed to test your limits with its steep and relentless ascent.
Key Villages and Trails: Experience the rustic charm of Ngadiwono, Pandansari, and Mororejo. After Mororejo, you'll encounter a 3 km forest trail rich in vegetation, leading back to paved paths in Podokoyo. Around the 30.2 km mark, Dinglik Viewpoints awaits, offering a moment to soak in the expansive views of the Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park.
The Final Stretch - Peaks and Valleys: Post Dinglik, the course alternates between descents and challenging hills, including a steep drop around 32 km and one last hill near 37 km. As you near the end, the path smooths out, leading you through the village of Wonokitri on your final descent to the finish line.
